No Compromise
No Compromise is NPR’s reported series on the hard edge of American gun politics, the activists who treat any regulation as a betrayal, and the media machine around them.
It won a Pulitzer Prize for audio reporting. The episodes follow specific people and posts rather than arguing in the abstract about the Second Amendment.
The narrative is about a movement’s aesthetics as much as its legislation: videos, rallies, a tone that travels faster than a bill. Reporters stay close enough to show how the absolutism recruits.
It is a short serial with a point of view that the tape has to justify. Hear it in order, including the episode that explains where the phrase in the title comes from.
